Your choices
Privacy and cookies
lateralOS is designed to offer useful signposting without requiring you to surrender unnecessary personal information.
Analytics is optional
Google Analytics is completely inactive until you choose “Accept analytics”. If you reject it, every part of the website remains available. When enabled, it helps us understand page use and broad interactions. Google acts as a third-party processor of that analytics data.
What we do and do not measure
We may count page views, whether search suggestions found results, and the type of result selected. We deliberately do not send the words you type into the health-related search box to Google Analytics, and advertising or personalisation signals are disabled.
Local preferences
Your colour, contrast, text-size, motion and analytics choices are stored in your browser so the site can remember them. These settings stay on your device. They are not advertising cookies.
Change your mind
Use “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time. Rejecting prevents future analytics collection on this device. Browser and Google systems may retain information already collected according to their configured retention periods.
Content and personal information
Do not put names or other identifying information into site search. A separate, consent-led process will be used for lived-experience contributions. This page will be updated before any contribution form begins collecting personal data.
